Utah Clerks and Auditors Association Summer Workshop

Clerks and auditors from 24 counties participated at our summer workshop in Weber County, and almost 70 attendees to our various classes and activities.

Topics included GFOA best practices, budget forecasting best practices, internal auditing, legislative planning, personal use of county assets, appointed vs. elected officials, using our new epollbooks, accessible voting, updates from the Lieutenant Governor’s office and State Tax Commission, and lots of free discussion.

Activities included a combined dinner with the assessors, social axe throwing, disc golf, canoeing, visiting an armored car manufacturer, a beautiful ballpark, the Browning museum, Union Station, the Standard Examiner, the Ogden Eccles Dinosaur Park, and curling at the Olympic Ice Sheet.  What a great chance to get to know everyone better while learning more about our work!
