Utah Association of Counties is delighted to welcome our newest Tier 1 corporate partner, Rocky Mountain Power (RMP). For more than 100 years, RMP (formerly known as Utah Power & Light), has been a stabilizing and dependable force in Utah.
RMP provides electric service to nearly 1.1 million customers in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. As part of PacifiCorp, they are one of the lowest-cost electricity providers in the United States, with 1.8 million customers in six western states.
“This corporate partnership is one more indication of Rocky Mountain Power’s commitment to local government and the citizens they and the counties serve,” said Adam Trupp, CEO for the Association. “Partnership funding promotes the development of services and efficiencies that save counties money, but just as important, Rocky Mountain Power has also signaled a commitment to work together with the counties on important issues that impact everyone.”
“For the past century, Rocky Mountain Power has built relationships with state and local governments and business leaders to make a meaningful impact and improve the quality of life in the communities we serve,” said George Humbert, Rocky Mountain Power’s director of customer and community management. “We’re looking forward to working closely with the counties to stay connected and support energy efficiency, volunteerism and community giving, local economic development, safety, and environmental stewardship.”
We look forward to seeing RMP at our events and meetings and encourage UAC members to express appreciation to the Rocky Mountain Power and its representatives at conferences, meetings, and other venues and ways deemed appropriate.
