The Utah Association of Counties Board of Directors approved the names of candidates for executive committee positions at their September meeting this week.
Running for the office of president will be Iron County Assessor Cindy Bulloch – Cindy has been serving this past year as first vice president. Running for the office of first vice president will be Washington County Commissioner Victor Iverson – Victor has been serving as second vice president this year.
Two candidates will be running for the office of second vice president, they are Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill and Weber County Clerk/Auditor Ricky Hatch. Weber County Commissioner James Ebert will run unopposed for the office of secretary, which is a one-year position.
As per bylaws, current UAC president Mark Whitney will retain a position on the Executive Committee as immediate past president. Weber County Assessor John Ulibarri will leave the Executive Committee when the results are announced on November 17.
Voting for those running for office will take place at the UAC Annual Convention, November 15-17 at the Dixie Center in St. George.
