Davis County Clerk Curtis Koch was recently recognized by his peers as the 2017 County Clerk of the Year.
“I’m honored to have the Davis County Clerk’s office recognized for our efforts,” said Koch. “It is truly a well-deserved recognition of the staff’s hard work over the past year.”
Each year, since 1998, the Clerk/Auditors Association of Utah (CAAU), a membership organization of Utah’s elected county clerks and auditors has chosen one clerk and one auditor who have stood out among the membership for their work on behalf of CAAU and their own county.
“Curtis has been an important member of the Clerk/Auditors Association,” said Doug Perry, communications director of the Utah Association of Counties (UAC). “His leadership among peers is very much appreciated and has been a steady force for some great things at Davis County over the years.”
Koch, who took office in 2015, is the second county clerk from Davis County to have received this honor – Margene Isom was awarded the recognition in 1998.
Those honored are selected through a vote that is conducted and tabulated by UAC, along with other elected county government association groups that include the county assessors, auditors, attorneys, clerks, recorders, treasurers, sheriffs and surveyors.
Koch will be formally honored at his CAAU meetings in conjunction with the UAC Annual Convention, November 15-17 in St. George.
